Canada Phone calls in Canada

My cell phone service is very expensive to use in Canada but I have to call brokers and such to get PAPS clearance so I found this phone service that works real well for making these calls. If you use a pay phone there is a $.55 per call charge plus the per minute rate but is still cheaper than using my cell. At Flying J and other places where they have phones at tables you only pay the per minute rate.

I'm not sure how much ya go to Canada. If you go quite a bit & make a lot of phone calls, provided ya have a laptop w/ wireless, you may want to get Vonage. I use Vonage in my house & ya can call anywhere in the US or Canada for $25/month. I could hook it up to a laptop if I was on the road.

It's not nearly as portable as a hand held cell phone, but if it's costing you an arm & a leg to make these calls, making them while sitting in your truck by your computer might be the way to go.

Hope this helped a bit,
Danny

Verizone told me I could add Can. to my North Amer. plan and it was very affordable compared to just the occassional call at the high per minute fee. Don't recall monthly charge but if you use Ver. you might ask.
