Panther II cargo van o/o solos

Thinking about leasing to Panther II with an extended cargo van...do they keep you loaded consistently throughout the year...how much deadhead and down time? Was told 1700-2000 miles/week...is this true?

I think you probably could do 1700 per week if you were willing to stay out. personally, I go home just about every weekend. I still average 1200-1400 miles per week. Don't think you deadhead any more or less than with any other company.

I like Panther. They have treated me very fairly.

How about panther for a sinlge straight truck, or would allstate be better? I don't like sitting and would like to sign on with who can get the loads.

Does panther allow a percentage of the load pay to be requested at time of pick-up to be put on commdata, i have driven for fed-ex cc and was wondering if it was a simular situation.... Bill
