I've had a few loads lately that meant I had to tear down my bed, move all my belongings up front, and sleep in the passenger seat. I'm trying to put an end to that while retaining capacity. So what about a Ford Transit cutaway like this, pallets 2-across, I'd guess a total of 4. I'd still register it at 10,000 GVW. Customize it to build a couple windows and rooftop AC, Espar heat, etc., just like modifying a Sprinter.

You can't legitimately register it at any random number of your choosing. What does the official factory plate say for GVWR? That's all that matters and over 10k you're logging etc. Not a good plan.

I'm still playing with the options on the website. No way I'd select something over 10K.

A upfitter can set the door tag after they build the box.
