In Portland we viewed images of thousands attending to see Obama, and the media reported Obama had a "rock star appeal", which may be true since the rock band "The Decemberists", held a free 45 minute concert before Obama spoke to the crowd.
In Berlin, reggae artist Patrice and the rock band Reamonn both performed free on a beautiful day in Tiergarten Park for the large crowd prior to the Obama Speech. This festival atmosphere was enhanced by the vendors supplying free beer and sausages. Did you hear this reported by the mainstream media, or did you hear how the German people loved Obama so much they rushed into a mass crowd to see him? How about all those American flags? Do you suppose all those Germans fans stopped on their way to the concert/speech to buy them (I'm sure they're easily available there at most stores) or might they have been handed out free by the Obama cheerleaders?
Did anyone see this reported anywhere on the three major networks who had their top news anchors traveling with him? Once again we see how the mainstream media are in the tank for this guy, and will stop at nothing to present the best possible images of their favorite candidate. Hopefully, as we get into the serious part of the campaign season there will be a few news sources somewhere that will maintain some objective standards in reporting about the most important US election in the past 100 years.
