Sometimes tabloid journalism gets it right and does it with camp humor.
The GOP now has a short period of time to redefine themselves as a party and make some positive things happen for the country before the next presidential election cycle starts. They better get it right instead of relying on the SOS.
The cover of Wednesday morning’s New York Post captured the moment perfectly (H/T Fox News):
Harry Reid, who for six years has prevented bills from coming up for Senate votes that could embarrass this president, will lose that power when the new Congress is sworn in shortly after the first of the year. Obama will be forced to accept Republican riders on spending bills, veto popular legislation, and further reveal himself to the American people as the socialist he is.
In the coming year, Obama could be forced to sign a bill declaring the Muslim Brotherhood a Foreign Terrorist Organization — or explain to the American people why he will not. He could be forced to re-institute the work requirement for welfare recipients — or make clear to the country why he thinks it’s a bad idea. He could even find himself with a bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform bill on his desk — one that secures the border and offers no rewards to those who have entered the country illegally.
As Obama is forced to reject Republican priority after Republican priority, the American people will come to see him — and his fellow far-left Democrats — for what they really are and what they really stand for.
2016 is already looking grim for the left.
