Hello,
We are new the expediting portion of the transportation industry. We own a tractor and trailer, and operate a freight brokerage. What is required of us to run a 1-ton van as an expiditer? Do we need a DOT number? Is a CDL license required? Any help you can give us is greatly appreciated.

yes you will need a cdl with hazmat preferred,but not mantory. if your running your own loads you will need your own autherity, dot numbers, incurance, etc. but if your leased to another carrie run undr their authioty a lot cheaper! unless you have your own customer base. hope this helps boxtruck,,,,,,;-)
