New VRU vrs Clink theory

It occurred to me today that, the reason there seems to be so much more disparit between clink and VrU load counts is that FECC is passing more of our frieght to their owned divisions like Supply Chain Services. Im no newbie with FECC so I have a basis to know that thought there was occasionall
small discrepensys with the numbers it has never been this bad. Nor has it been this often. I have noticed major discrepnciess in
Houston Dallas Chicago three areas where I have also seen plenty of NEW supply chain services trucks.

Anyway the haven't figured out how to separate those loads from the VRU because of the wa the are let in. The reason the don't show u ver the clink is because the clink tracks disatched loads. Anway just a theory.
So far all of the innovations set forth b Virginia have hurt m bottom line while Im being told they are designed to help me.

I don't mind getting screwed so long as im kissed first and not lied to.

HaHaHa if my truck payment wasn't so large Id switch to Panther before FECC is totally screwed

Maybe ask the phantom drivers council what's up with all of these changes? ;)

Don't get me started on that company hand picked, suck-up members of the drivers council, who spew nothing but company rhetoric. How can a drivers council be a drivers council if they are not picked by the drivers to represent them? But then again they say thay don't really represent us per say, but are used as sounding boards by the carrier. Some sounding boards, hand picked company yes men in contractor's clothes. I hear that some of the posts some of them do here on EO are done by phantom writers and posted by EO members. They don't even tell the drivers what they talk about at the council meetings, and are sworn under pain of not getting all the good loads they can handle not to reveal who they are and what they talk about. From what I have read here on EO and heard from other contractors, they don't even want us contractors to contact them about issues we might have, even if we did know how to contact them and who they are and how many they are.

Oh no! See what you did Greg, you got me started about the so called drivers council, I told you not to get me started, so don't get me going on that subject anymore.

There you go again Greg, I asked you not to get me started about the pompous &sses and self serving nit-wits on the council who have their heads so far up the carriers butts that their toes are brown.

But no, I'm not going to start renting about these yes men/women on the driver council. Its not worth my energy, and will only make my blood pressure go up.

How can a driver council be a driver council when they are picked by the carrier, and do not represent the drivers/contractors. I've ranted on this subject before and refuse to be lured in by your fancy talk Greg.

In all my years here,I've heard a lot of crap,but I think this might be the best.Do you really think we are giving our loads to the other parts of FedEx.Get real. I guarantee Supply Chain isn't getting ours,or is Freight.On the other hand,we do get theirs. Easytrader,you need to spend a day in the office,and just see how the dispatch system works.
I've never been a fan of the DVA or the VRU,but it's what we have,so I've just learned to accept it.IF YOU WANT TO FIND OUT IF YOU'VE BEEN LOADED AROUND,just ask what loads you have turned down,or didnt come up in the dispatch order,then ask why.You know, the only reason for express centers is for the customer,so he can be told if there might be a truck available.If your in Canton OH,and a load comes out of Cleveland,if you DVA points are better than the Cleveland truck,and you can make the pick up on time,you will get the load rather than the truck in Cleveland,and that load will show out of Cleveland,Truck will show out of Canton,Its confusing,it's what we have.

I agree with Steve. You really do need to set aside some time and sit with a dispatcher so you can see for yourself how our system works. Although I didn't understand a lot of what you said, I think I got the drift of it. Why not contact your CC and set up a time to go by the office and sit with dispatch? Sitting there and watching them dispatch loads and watching the system work helped us more than anything.

We have also found if we have a problem we can talk with a CC and get some straight answers.

Ultimately, though, if the company you are running for doesn't fit your business model, then maybe it is time to look at other carriers.
Take a close look at your goals and your business plan and take a look around. Maybe in your case you should see what other companies can do for you. Life is too short to be miserable and another company may fit your needs better at this time.

A drivers council is a token given by the company to placate the hurt, sensitive, emotionally
needing drivers who cant get with a program or just generally cry about the world doing them wrong.
Now I am sure there have been some very good ideas generated thru discussions via the council.
But, if it isnt in the best interest of the company any idea recommended by the council would be shot down.
Some here express themselves as if the council REALLY has a say in day to day operations.
Count to ten, drink some warm milk or go back to your telatubbies, a sounding board is just like a the stone wall in a canyon and what you hear is the echo of the voice talking.
The council may indeed be YES MEN, as they really dont have any power to be NO MEN
and demand or impliment change.
If you want representation, go get a job working for a company that has a union. We do not work for these companies we work in conjunction with them.
Individually we are our own council and can agree to stay or leave by our actions.
NO ONE represents you. Why would you want to contact someone who doesnt represent you. Makes no sense that someone would want to talk with person who is only trying to better their own lot by networking via "A COUNCIL". You can be your own rep.
Just remember,
When the company speaks they echo back.
Pure and simple.

Duh! That was my intended point. I just used different words. I don't depend on the council and we run our business the way we want.

I just like to blast the council once in a while for the fun of it.

We are very happy with our carrier, that is why we have been with them for nine years, and plan on being with them as long as we are in the business.

Lighten up, it was a satire thing. I just felt like having fun with Greg's remark about the council. I was bored and the opportunity was there.
