New toll road in Maryland to DC opened

The 1st segment of the ICC (Intercounty Connector) MD 200 from I370 to MD97 (Georgia Ave) is now open as of the 22nd.

Hwy speed only, no toll booths.

If you don't have a Ezpass, a $3 fee per transaction is added and will be sent to the registered vehicle owner for payment.

I traveled that corridor for many years and always hated to drive in Montgomery county and the roller coaster...heck...even New Jersey was preferable..
