New To Dispatching

New Recruit
Dispatcher
Hello Everyone,

I am new to the world of dispatching but have been interested in it for some time now. I am having a hard time on social media creating content because there seem to be too many glitches, so it makes it hard for me to find new carriers/owner-operators. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

I think the same advice that would be given to a new driver applies. Learn on someone else's dime. New driver = go run for a fleet owner. New dispatcher = go work for an established carrier or broker.

Maybe it it's my time in the military dispatching vehicles in my Squadron Vehicle Maintenance and wanting to try it out in the civilian world. Entirely different but I'm good. Obviously in the wrong place to network.

man forget social media for now, that’s slow and noisy, go where the drivers actually are, load boards, Facebook groups, truck stops, even cold messaging owner ops off DAT or Truckstop listings, yeah it feels awkward but that’s how people actually get clients early on, offer something simple like “I’ll find you 1 to 2 solid loads this week, no contract”, prove you can make them money, then they stick, posting content with 0 network won’t do much, this game is more direct hustle than branding at the start tbh
