I think Professional Drivers arent at fault most of the time. I have seen many other trucks where it is evedent the driver wasnt trained properly or is wreckless.

I always defend Professional Drivers and often yeld to them.

Finally got my eye results and as I suspected, the Opthamologist said that I surpass the minimum requirements.

Now the waiting game for the waiver.

As the saying goes if you don't ask the answer is always no. Hopefully you can get through the red tape quickly.

Thanks to all you all with the words of encuragement.

Personally, I think that there should be medical standards for drivers, BUT they shouldnt limit those that ARE capable of operating the vehicle they would drive safely.

With that said, I believe that the FMCSA has gone overboard with the guidelines due to not fully understanding what it is like driving a big rig, grouping all drivers into the heavy haul catagory, and of course some people mix their opinions into setting policy. Like with many things its about power, money, and prestege.
