Reading this makes me think California is moving to the east coast. We all want safer roads, and safer workplaces, but old Gov. Shwieker, needs to address the time vs. revenue issue for commercial vehicles. The number of accidents and injuries certainly is not acceptable in Pa., but the governor makes it appear that it is the motorist who is the continual problem. I´ve seen construction sites in Pa. that had no traffic control of any kind, and you were in it and on your own before you knew it was a work zone. And how many times have we seen work zone caution signs, and speed limit signs left up for days and weeks, when the construction project was finished weeks ago. Not to mention the road crews that are less than diligent regarding thier own safety, while leaning on a shovel, or doing a job with thier butts out in the traffic lane.
