Well I made it thru orientation and got my first pick up on Oct. 21st. Went from Wausean, Ohio to Keokuk, Iowa. We delivered at 7:30am and went to a Walmart to wait for another load. At 10:30 we were QC'd to pick up at the drop off location. Took the same load in the other direction. From Wausean we got a load from Fort Wayne going to Pennsecola Fla. Everything went fine and we delivered on time. Our next load was from Montgomery, Al to Garrett, In. From Garrett we were dispatched to pick up in near Indianapolis going to Rochester, NY. When we dropped in Rochester, we went to Syracruse to wait for another load. Within 4 hrs we were dispatched to Boston for a load to Denton, TX. So far we have not had more than a 12 hr. layover waiting for a load. With a non-eventful trip to Denton, we unloaded and went to the TA to wait for the next load. This is where our luck changed...... We ended up waiting for our next load for 48 hrs. But this proved to be beneficial because we were both able to regain our full hours and now we both have 70hrs again. This load took us from Arlington TX to Plattsburgh, NY..... 1716 miles and paid the truck $2001.00. Our delivery was to be at a 24 hour dock so we ran hard and arrived at midnight to unload, only to find that the place was locked up tight for the weekend. When we called dispatch, they attempted to contact someone to get us unloaded. They were unsuccessful. They did compensate us for our trouble by authorizing a motel for us and our detention begins at 12 noon today and will run thru 6:30am when the company opens.
Throughout my first 10 days I have ran over 6000 miles, deadhead has been under 15% and the revenue has been good.
I have absolutely no complaints about Expediting so far. I am not saying everything will be this way always, but I am very pleased so far.
I will be updating my website when I get home and have more time. I will give details of my trips in my Journal and post my Settlements also.
I again want to thank Lawrence and the EO staff for this site and all of the help and encouragement they provided while I was searching for the right company.
