Not only did they approve the pilot program but those new trains are not allowed to roll through Toronto during slow hours (rush hour to others). The idea of these things is good in sofar as it means double the freight for only 25% more fuel. We'll see how the program goes.

The "must deliver near a highway" thing gets me. At least NY has those paved yards at the thruway exits to de-couple the trailers. I don't know of too many exits in Ontario engineered to handle 2 53 footers. Hopefully they will limit them to East of 35/115 and West of Milton (25).

the question becomes...define "near a highway"...1 kilometer, 2 kilometers?
