OK First thing is that the commercials for candidates are just getting too much.
I watched an ad for De Vos (candidate for Governor in Michigan) that said that Granholm (governor) FAILED Michigan.
So the next commercial was for Granholm in which her commercial pointed out that De Vos outsourced jobs to china, eliminated 1400 jobs and established his company in Bermuda AND her commercial said he had FAILED Michigan.
De Vos failed Michigan?
How can he fail Michigan, he is not governor.
But this is not the only thing.
We have an affirmative action ballot proposal to eliminate affirmative action in government and the lies that the opposition is spreading is unreal. According to one person on the radio (not a commercial but a live person who opposes the ballot proposal) said that if this passes, all the women in Michigan will be dead in ten years because we (men) will take all their healthcare access away and eliminate their access to any education. I guess that this person thinks that if this passes, we will see girls being yanked out of school and force them to stay in the kitchen cooking for the family.
And a great idea 'for the children'
We have a ballot proposal that will tie school funding to the inflation rate or fixed rate. The fact is that it lacks a definition about where the money actually goes to. I have a really big problem hearing all of this cr*p about how the schools are suffering, how they are running out of money and how the governor put in more money for laptops, things like soccer (just kidding) and more things that don’t teach kids instead of putting more money into retraining the people who can make more money – hence more revenues than the kids could provide. Now if the schools were suffering, why do we have a boom in building more schools, replacing school buildings and increasing teacher’s salaries in some districts? I heard form my sisters that the laptops didn’t last long in the schools – many were bought at an inflated price and many were dropped or sat on in less than 14 days which means the school foot the bill to repair them. I say put on the ballot a proposal to eliminate most of the administrators, the department of education and the teachers union, I will vote for that!
And finally
I am trying to figure out how these state representatives all can create jobs or save jobs. We lost (estimated from the state) over 103,000 jobs since Granholm took office. I am one of 3500 out of one place and 15,000 from the same company. No one saved my job, it went to a Pakistani who lives in Canada and who still working there today. No outsourcing, no job going overseas – only a handshake from the queen and a promise that we will get help retraining and find another job - something I never got and something that I hold her personally responsible for the promise.
I think this is all too much.
