I would have advised against the RV, regardless of type, especially for Florida, having both lived there and in an motorhome (different state). The one thing I messed up on, probably because I planned to travel (but didn't), was that if a motorhome sits for extended periods of time, it will "decay" just like any other motor vehicle. On the other hand, a trailer could cost you an axle or wheel, or even all new tires, but that's likely gonna be a lot less money than a mechanical issue with the motor or drive train of a motorhome. The roof is another issue, if either RV is left out in the sun, the UV wreaks havoc on the roofing material, and a leaky RV is very costly if left unrepaired for any period of time. Just my .02 worth.
