Hey guys my name is Patrick and I live in Memphis,Tn. I am a new Cornwell Tools dealer. I have some questions about my truck. It is a 2006 Freightliner with the MBE 900 engine. It has 30k miles on it. 2 months ago I bought it and the place I got it from changed all the fluids and filters.
Oil changes, how often should I do it? The other dealers around here change it every month but I think that is too often.
I just changed the oil this weekend and used the O.E. filter, Rotella oil and Lucas Oil stabilizer. I run it 8 to 10 hours per day 5 days a week. I don't know just how much of it is idle time, I need to track it.
Fuel filter, how often? Like I said earlier alot of the time is idle time. I burn around 50 gallons of fuel every week.
Can someone help me out with the fuel filter service? I didn't see a hand primer pump and I don't think it has an electric lift pump. Will the system self prime by cranking the engine?
