The best thing a new person can do is read back at least one full year in the general, newbies and recruiter forums. That doesn't mean every word of every post. Read the titles of every post. The ones that look interesting or that you don't know anything about you should read. There's not a lot to be gained reading a thread about companies focused on the south if you plan to run all 48 and Canada. There's not a lot to be gained reading about Canadian roads, restrictions etc. if you know you can't go to Canada. By the time you've gone back a year you'll have learned a huge amount and will understand some of the things you may have passed over the first time through. Going back through again will reveal things you didn't see the first time. Nobody can enlighten you in just a few posts, just as you can't complete a college course in a class session. There's just way too much to learn. Good luck in your studies.
