It's wise to shop around for used liftgates . Many truck and trailer companies buy used truck bodies wirh liftgates and remove the liftgates to sell the bodies for storage purposes . A company I worked for needed liftgates for a new contract and saved thousands of dollars by buying used gates that were as good as new .
