Gammywell;

Research the forums here on ExpeditersOnline. You will find many useful posts that will teach you SOME of the "in's and out's" of expediting. Speak with drivers or owner-operators, especially of cargo vans, that currently work within the industry. Another source of useful info is to attend one of the Expedite Workshops that are presented by ExpeditersOnline.

Good luck with your ventures.

Gammy,

In addition to the above suggestions, I would also suggest spending some time at truckstops actually talking to van owner / operators. You'll be able to learn a lot about how their equipment is set up, freight securement, and the absolute best source for information on any company is to talk to the drivers.

I'm certain that you would find this to be some well invested time.
