KY may get a NASCAR cup race

But at whose expense ? I doubt Smith will give up any dates at his other tracks . Most likely he will buy an older track and move one of its races to KY . I hate to see that . NASCAR should have some respect for tradition and communities that helped NASCAR grow but it's all about money .

If the Big Three go under who is Toyota going to race against? Mazda? BMW? It might not make any difference if Kentucky gets a race or not. Layoutshooter

You gotta believe NASCAR is worried about the immediate future of their industry. The cutting of sponsors and manufactures money, gotta be scarry to them. Wonder if Tony Stewart has any regrets going on his own now? NASCAR is on unstable waters that they have never experienced before. They have a good fan base, but can fans support the organization? Nope?

Nashville thought if they would build a track, that sooner or later they would get a race, too. But, the latest I have heard is they are no closer to that happening now, than when it was built. So, maybe the ole Bluegrass state can pull it off. The track in Nashville I guess does O.K. with the piddly races they have over there, but it ain't NASCAR.

Ah NASCAR.... of course I can't stay here.... but I'm sitting watching all the car haulers roll towards Bristol for this weekend....

The second race in California would be a good one to move,no one shows up because it's to hot and that might also help them with there smog problem.
