is there a reason someone is deleting my posts

I have also noticed that someone has changed things in my profile, I have pm'd Lawrence in case these post also disappear, but it looks like someone is trying to be the thought police, is this site for open communication, or like the government does it suppress all thoughts that are not in line with what they think is right??

Riverrat2000,

Sorry - I don't see where we have removed any of your posts. Also, it is impossible for our mods to have changed your avatar and password. This is impossible even for the admins to do as it is encrypted. I have to disagree with your assumption on the “open forum†statement – we have over 100,000 divergent posts of every degree and caliber.

I am responding to your PM and moving this thread to a more appropriate forum - WEB SITE SUPPORT.

Riverrat.. I would think it must be your browser doing it for some reason. I've heard a couple other people with that problem now and then, but it goes away.. are you using Firefox by any chance?

There should be a setting somewhere in your internet options that says something to the effect of "automatically check for new version of a page when loading".. What you are seeing is a page from your browser cache. When you go to a page online, your computer automatically saves a copy in the temporary internet files, so as to have faster loading or if you would choose to work offline.

Try checking for that setting, then clear your cookies and temporary files. Hopefully that solves the problem.

dreamer, thanks for the help I looked in Internet options and sure enough the settings have changed, been going thru a lot of things tonight and have found a lot of things that are different. I do have firefox and use it 99% of the time, I have never had a problem with it until now, and don't really think it IS the problem. I really do not understand what happened to my computer things are gone moved into different folders ect. before anyone says anything i have nortons 360,I also have several spam filters, several anti spy programs, all of which i update and run regularly, I also have a program called system mechanic that I run that keeps the system optimized, and windows is updated automatically. Oh and almost forgot registry patrol to keep the registry cleaned up. I though that I had this thing bullit proof but i guess I was mistaken, anyone have any suggestions on how to protect this thing any better??
