ok, i'm all set on where to get my mapping software, now i just need to findout about getting internet access without using my cellphone minutes. i herd about sprint being good, and i talked to verizon, any help or advice would be great. i am only home till 12/02 so i would need info before i leave. thanks in advance, paperback1

I have had the Sprint Air Card since May and Have been pleased with it. The "card" has it's own phone number and operates on the same priciples, as your cell phone: If you have a signal, you've got service. The up-front cost is kind of steep, but, in my opinion,
well worth it.

I have heard both are okay. This link below may help you out. It is a thread that some of us talked about a while ago. I posted the site that verizon has on what they offer. Like freightchaser said. If you have a signal then you have service.You can get a signal at most truck stops.
