in the last week , after a terrible accident injured fellow expediters we have come to a conclusion that when not under a load some of us may not be insured. sure we all have non-trucking liability if we hit someone else but are you covered if you put it in the ditch or whatever that does not involve another vehicle. or better yet are you covered if not under a load and are hit by an uninsured or underinsured motorist. our fellow expediters were not under load and were hit by a suv headon, he was from what we understand at .09 at 6:45 in the morning and was not insured. we have also heard that he may have been an illegal alien which just adds more problems to the ones they are dealing with. the driver of the suv did not make it which is another problem in getting some help for these people who were severily injured and have and will continue to sermount incredible medical bills. we all hate to see things like this happen so it got the wife and i thinking we should do some investigating and maybe so should you all just to see if you are covering all the bases.

Everyone should find a good adviser to work with and look into term life insurance, short term disability, long term disability and health insurance. It's far from cheap but it's far cheaper than the alternative as your friends are finding out.
