I def. like the gas milage. I have a 2005 158wb Sprinter. The gas milage is coming in at just a touch under 23MPG. The van takes some getting used to, but that's to be expected for any vehicle. It's got real tight turning, good pep & rides fairly smooth. I like that I can stand up & not have to lean over when I walk back into the cargo area. The rear window defog is a nice lil feature.
It also has a feature that after you shut off your engine, you can still run the heater for about 15 minutes. To get to the gas cap, the driver side door must be open. This should help prevent gas theft.
Now if only the seat was a bit more comfy. If they have em, my next purchase will be a more comfortbale seat.
Another thing I wish was a lil more efficient, & this is NOT much, but the radio stations are a little bit of a reach. The scan up/down is w/in reach, but to get to the pre-programmed stations I have to lean a lil bit. I wish the radio station buttons were about 6 inches to the left.
I took Geo's advice & put rollers in the back. The forklift drivers all love it. One thing though, if your van is on a downhill slope make sure you're not standing in FRONT of the frieght when they load. I didn't even think about that & was fortunate it was only a 250 pound skid they put in there. I was in the van like I often was in my old van (plywood floor rather than rollers) when they loaded me up. They put the skid on & the thing started rolling towards me. I stopped it, but had it been a 2000 pound skid instead I could have been in some trouble. Lesson learned: to put a stop in there & then adjust it myself.
Those are some innitial thoughts.
