Busin4fun,
Check with the companies that you are interested in. Most of us would not have a problem with a 1999 or 2000 straight truck. Living in the San Antonio area isn't a problem because you will be traveling over the road. I would just plan on staying out a couple weeks at a time. Your goal of clearing $50,000 after expenses is not unreasonable as long as you are willing to work at it.

Good Luck,

I stand in complete agreement with ABC.

One thing to keep in mind when dealing with trucks over 5 years old is that Most companies will welcome them into the fleet, but they first must pass a DOT inspection before or during orientation. Make sure that the Dealer that sells you the truck will guarantee that your truck will pass that initial DOT inspection and you will save yourself some huge headaches.

Best Wishes, and Welcome.
