I'm back and looking at expediting again

I joined this site a long time ago but because I live in the LA area, there was very little expediting business here, so I gave up. After getting the Expediting Now magazine,it appears that the freight business has picked up and I again am interested in becoming an O/O Expediter. I am looking at Tri-State and Panther II as the two companies I would go with. I am looking at getting a truck with a dual rear axle so I can haul the heavier loads. I would your opinon about these companies, good, bad or indifferent. Thank you.

Be sure to go with a company whose trucks you see fairly regularly on the west coast. Some expediters have a fairly strong west coast presence, others do not. Be sure to ask about this when speaking to recruiters. Not all companies are cali-friendly.

When you are checking companies for west coast opportunities I'd also check into Landstar and Con-Way Now to see how much they may do out that way. Good luck.
