I've been driving commercially now for about 8 yrs. I know that's not alot by some standards but I just turned 26. My question is...Has anyone here done any "dock truck" courier work in their hometown? I've worked the BIG Co's in mpls and got pretty good $ as a company driver. But now I want to get my own dock truck. Was looking at newer Int'l 4300 with a 24' Curtainside w/liftgate. Some of these places say that I can Avg. $1300-2000 gross a week driving in town. Is this a fair estimate? I spoke w/ a few drivers and it varies, one says not a chance and another says He does better than that!! I know that the harder you work the more you make and I can do 9-11 runs a day!!! WOW
