Hot Shot/ Expediated advise 2008 Dodge Ram 1500

Hello I am new to this and trying to get information and advice. I own a 2008 Dodge ram and I’m looking to use it as a hotshot or Expediated delivery service or time sensitive. I would like to know what I can haul or ideas of what I can haul to get me started. Only using the bed of the truck itself. I would love to deliver to oil field sites and companies, construction sites, etc.
Also I what would be fair pricing?

The problems you are going to run into are age and weight of vehicle.

I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 and looked into it as well. First, you’re only going to be able to haul 3,000-3,500lbs and as everyone else on this forum already know, Vans can carry that. The fact that you’ll have to pull a trailer puts you at a huge disadvantage in mpg of fuel.

Second, age of your vehicle, no broker or company will be willing to use you.

You can dispatch yourself if you have a dot and mc number, but your board selection will be greatly reduced because of weight you can carry.

All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this. Either get a van or get the heaviest truck and flatbed trailer you can afford.
