I didn't "nail it" with this project but I haven't made any improvements in several months so, even though it isn't jump-for-joy something I can be proud of, it's as done as it's likely to be, at least until the improvement bug hits me.

Column A is generated by the Edit->Fill->Series menu

Column B, D and F contain formulas (lately I've been using a darker background color to indicate formula cells - it beats using Cell/Sheet Protection.)

Column C is where you enter your data - the total of line 3 and 4 from your log book.

The idea here is to see where you're at if you don't take the 34 restart.

Here's an image of what it looks like. As you enter numbers in Col C, the calculated lines advance a line, which I think gives the feel of a perpetual calender. Whether that's good or bad is up to you.
