Home Schooling

Your opinions on home schooling, good, bad , and the ugly. I have a friend who home schools his 13 year old . His opinion, the child is more calm, no rush for the bus, no lunch money needed, no dressing issuing in the morning, no traffic, and in 4 hr the child is through with home schooling and the child's grades are very good.

If you all have opinions, I will be all ears............

My wife's cousin's family home schools. All who are old enough have gone on to college and did well. The younger ones are far ahead of their public school counter parts for the same age.

IF I had school age kids I would home school. No point sending them to public school and then having to reteach them everything.

If i had children they would be home schooled.

Think it depends on the kids, the parents and the school district. I don't see any one size fits all answer.

My wife taught school 27 years.
She home schooled her daughter in her later years.
Most of the people in our church home school with excellent results.
