Hinos are fine. Access to service ain't too good so JD Power is full of crap there.

Most of the complaints I've posted have related to bad dealers not neccesarily the truck.

If I had a pick up and delivery service I would have no problem using. Fleet of Hinos. As an expeditor, I think an old stretched tractor with a detroit is the best choice.

Having said that, my Hino has served me well I'll have 700k miles on her shortly.

Hinos have the same issues as expeditors as the Freightliner FL70/80. They are not true over the road trucks. Using them as city trucks, runing 200-300 miles a day is fine, running them in stop & go city traffic is ok to. There just not meant for that cross country trek.

I've spoken to people that have owned 1 to 10 hinos at a time & use them as short haul city trucks & they love them.

I almost bought one last summer. It was one of those deals that seemed to good to be true so I walked away. If I buy another class 7 truck it will be a Freightliner, Kenworth or Sterling.
