Actually, it's for anyone, but he said I hadn't had any good ideas lately.
Get a can of orange day glo spray pain at Walmart. If you have barn doors on your truck open the doors and tape the inside door edges off so that you can paint the portions of the door edges that you see in your side view mirrors while backing up. This will do the following: (i) give you dramatically better contrast between the door edge and whatever you are backing up to; (ii) it will help you see better when backing up in the rain; (iii) it gets your attention in your side view mirror and reduces the possibility of driving away with your back doors open and (iv) it improves the visibility of your truck for any truck that is parked next to you at a dock.
Make sure you tape off the area to paint so that none of the paint will be visible with the doors closed. It is also a good idea to paint a strip across the top of the outside of the cargo box opening (again, a stripe that is not visible when the doors are closed), which could prevent one of these tall forklifts from running into the top of your truck because they didn't realize your truck was 13' and not 13'6.
Be careful with the day glo paint, though. A little goes a long way and mistakes are visible from a long way.
