Welcome to E/O.
Why don't you tell us about yourself. Whare are you from? What do you drive? Etc, etc, etc.

There is lots of knowledgeable people here. Ask questions, we will help if we can.

Sure mate. Am from the US but currently in the sunny Caribbean Island. I am a auto diagnostician/mechanic by proffession with years of experience in the field. Am married with a wondeful wife and family. I regard myself as a honest and hardworking individual who is a team person and strongly beleive that no man is an island, hence no man stands alone. Hope that helps

Interesting background. But why did you join this forum? Are you interested in driving, in expediting or trucking in general? Have you done so in the past? We'd like to share your experience, will share some of ours too. Does auto mechanic include vans and trucks? We may need you.

First thing you should know to be a good driver is that you can't drive from your island to the mainland. Second thing you should know is that we have a sense of humor, even when snarky, hope you do too.

Welcome to EO
Hello,
I'm new to EO. They're giving me a First Post Award. Good news! Things are zippy on this forum, I swear. DId I get it right that I'm only allowed to post on the Hello Everyone thread. I have to post 25 posts to be enabled to answer? Right.

I think that only applies to posting in the Soapbox, otherwise,
Give it a try. If you see a subject that interests you, go for it.

Ragman,
I'm a unversity academic and have learnt tibetan translating at Paris-INALCO university, then went on to specialize in the Kalachakra. I don't want to drag people into complicated topics related to Tibet.

Listen, it's not easy for me to post 25 posts just to answer, because the thread I'm interested in, seems to be dead. ChefDennis posted about Obama in a thread but it goes back to 2008 and chefdennis seems to have left the forum. I'm not going to hang around unless he's still available and I can talk to him. I'm at geir dot smith at yahoo.fr He can post me if you run into him, Ragman. But seeing his last posts go back to 2014, the other option would be if someone could post some ideas I have about chefdennis' thread there. They could post a thread, and I could read it and give my ideas as I see it evolve? I have a lot of ideas because for fifteen years now, I've accumulated a lot of other sources than chefdennis had. He posted so early out that he didn't have half the sources I've got now. There's a whole new thread to make about it. For now, I can't post anything so unfortunately I can't hang around and wait for days or weeks to get the permission to post. I'll keep posted and see what can be done. I'll keep informed. If you'd like it, I can post my research about the topic to you here, and you pass it on to the person who could post a thread about it at EO. That may be complicated though. If I can do this, that's good.

Otherwise, I'll just let it be at that. Has anyone seen "chefdennis" since ten years?
