Hi! I've been in the expediting world the last 2 and 1/2 years, and have taken the good with the bad, being able to travel the country, (was just mountain biking up in the beautiful northwest portion of the countryside), the ability to work and play and even get paid has lured the masses it seems. It is ironic that I used to take pride in the fact that complete strangers would aproach me and my Sprinter and question me on what type of work I was in, thinking that Wow! that must be an exciting line of work, how can I get into that, and now as I continually deadhead from city to city, stopping only long enough to learn my board position, awaiting the disappointing beep, alerting me of my future that I am 5th, 6th, and yes have even been 14th out! Oh, so I do digress, I am in a little bit of a reflective mode as I am searching the internet for possible new adventures to pursue; hating to exit the expediting world so soon, however, these good looks just don't pay the bills! HA HA You can't lose your sense of humor during these hard times. After all that long novel, I did have a question to ask. I live in Chicago, Illinois owning a Sprinter van, and wondered if anyone knows of a solid company to haul for locally, I checked with EGL yesterday, does any one have any facts on them or any other local company? Would be nice to have an insider's scoop before making the switch. Thanks! and God Bless!
