We just thought we would say hi, and see how life on the road is going for everyone? We had to park last fall after five years had a great run, just couldn't last the really slow spell. We thought we could park the truck and find jobs within a few days, that didn't happen. It took six weeks of applying daily before we finally found something. I had three interviews in six weeks and april only had two luckly the second one hired her. My first application finally called me six weeks later and let me start the next day. We aren't living the gloriuos life of over the road new place daily, but we are keeping the lights on. I work about 65-80 hours a week. I never knew people really worked seven days a week before. I drill water wells and hardband drill pipe for gas rigs. Amazing stuff... April went to work for a small diner as a cook and in six weeks has taken over. We miss all the thrills of the job, but happy we get to come home everynite.
Good luck to everyone that can make it through the slow times, we hope it leads to many great weeks with less competion to get your load.
