Been reading the forum but have not posted in a while. Still trying to build up bank account to pay cash for truck, and have picked up some more hours at fast food job. Sort of bummed out at how slow this seems to be going. Starting to think about a 1 ton cargo van, since I could do a lot of repairs and maintenance myself. If I can net 400 a week that would equal my take home now from 2 jobs. Do you think this is a good idea, to get into a van first? What would you do?

It could be a good idea if you have plenty in savings to cover the potential issues that come up.
