We have a truck that had a fuel leak from the lift pump back by the cross over. So they was parked at the TA in Atlanta, Ga and the driver's went into the shop there and the guy there said we don't do anything like that. So they went to Another TA up off of I85 and they said they don't have the part's and don't know where the fuel was coming from. So our Driver's waited 4 hrs at another TA just for them to tell them that they don't have the parts. So by this time our driver's are getting really upset because they had a nice load picking up in Greenville, SC going to AZ paying $3600.00.
So I called Freightliner of Knoxville and ask them if they could work on it because they had a load to pick up at 3pm the next day. They said they could get it Fixed if they had the parts and get them back to Greenville for there pick up. So I deadheaded the truck from Greenville, SC all the Way to Knoxville and they was on the truck within an hour because they wanted to truck to cool down some. Well I thought it was leaking from the Cross over and that they could just fix it. Well, it was the lift pump and they didn't have the part and Cummis was closed until Monday.
So I had the driver's go to a motel and when Cummins opened up Monday I would have them get the part. Well this all started at 11 am on Sat and they was at Knoxville Frightliner by 11:30 pm that night. So I had to have them taken off the load that they was suppose to pick up the next day in Greeville. So Monday morning came and Cummins didn't have the part there either and couldn't get it until thursday, So I called Cummins in Richfield, Ohio by my house and they had the part.
So I went and got the part and my 2 Son's and a friend of mine drove the part to Knoxville and as soon as the part got there Knoxville Freightliner Got back to work on the truck and it was done Tuesday by 6 am.
May hats off to them for being open 24 hrs 7 days a week.
