Studies going back over 50 years have repeatedly arrived at the same conclusion -- racists have lower IQs than non-racists. The average intelligence quotient (IQ) of all members of the human race is 100 on the Stanford-Binet scale, as illustrated in the bell curves in the figure below. The average IQ of racists is up to 4 IQ points less than this (Montagu 1952 & 1988, Allport 1946, Frenkel-Brunswick and Sanford 1945). The reasons this is true are not entirely clear. Does racism attract the unintelligent or do the unintelligent default into racist mentalities? An exploration of this phenomenon can be most informative.

To begin with, this "study" would get an "F-" in most any college sociology class because it's based on a false premise - that all racists are white. As it stands, it's nothing but pure garbage that illustrates the ignorance and prejudices of the children that wrote it.
If you're going to use this nonsensical diatribe from a radical left-wing Penn State group (Students & Youth Against Racism) as a reference for your assertion, perhaps you should also include another of their postings from the same website that illustrates their proposed solutions for racism in our society - following are some of the bright ideas that sprout from their uber-intelligent minds:
"This is but one possible final solution to the problem of racism. Here are some of the best solutions people have made (specifically excluding all of the more violent suggestions) regarding what to do with racists:
Teach them to read.
Make them travel. Mark Twain said, "Travel cures prejudice." Maybe getting them out of those little white towns and trailer parks would do them some good.

After seeing this website and reading this tripe, is anyone else convinced that these musings come from young minds with IQs so much higher than the NASCAR-cheering neanderthals in GA or AL? Maybe they should be forced to work in one of Obama's VISTA-type camps to help enlighten the bumpkins in southern West Va or south GA. Better yet, let them be welcomed with open arms to some of the areas in Watts (LA) or East St. Louis. Maybe since they're so concerned with eliminating racism, they should also consider striving to eliminate their own bigotry.

I agree. This study would have little if any merit in a sociology classroom. Not that it matters. I would venture to say Mr. Ice Road Trucker will not be darkening the door of a sociology classroom any time soon.
All racists are indeed not white. I wasn't using this graph or it's accompanying ramblings to make the case that all racists are white. I was using it as an affirmation that someone or some people feel, as I do, that racism is in fact germain to the less intelligent, white or otherwise. My post was not soliciting a remedy to racism nor was it meant to purport that there is one. That is a different issue. My only point was to bolster my opinion that this "Ice Road Trucker" is a racist.
I have read many of your posts. Though I hardly ever agree with you, I know you are an intelligent thinker. If you read what this goofball wrote, I have to believe you can see my point.

Sometimes I read your posts, and have no idea what you just said. This post is extremely lucid. I thought the original post on this thread was funny. ps. my IQ is above the average stated by the graph. I just loved Ronald Reagan, and laughed hard at all the jokes made about him.
Then again, I am not trying to be offended, so I almost never am. And if anyone thinks I am a racist because I enjoyed the poem...

I do see your point - however, I'm not sure it's fair to label IRT a racist just because he posted a tacky e-mail that pokes fun at the language of da hood. I've seen this particular e-mail, or one similar to it passed around for several Christmases now and it's not nearly as bad as some of the rap crap our kids listen to. On the other hand, we all have seen the e-mails with the funny pictures of rednecks and white trash to which no one seems to object. I think it boils down to intent, and I for one don't think it was intended to be racially disparaging. I'd probably see it differently if IRT had a history of making racially questionable comments in his posts, but that's not the case either. It's safe to say that the politically correct thing to do is not post these types of jokes in a public forum.
