Just got off the weather channel and was shocked to see they are calling for all that nasty weather in MI, should have stayed in GA!

For anyone else that is heading into MI, please be careful, sounds like it is going to be pretty bad!!

Yeah it's going to be really COLD there. High might reach zero. Right now in Flint it's 9 degrees with 30 to 40 mph winds and white out conditions at times. Glad i'm in N.C.

Stay warm,

Didn't make it to Grand Rapids yet, we are sitting at the J in Lansing since we were told the roads going into Grand Rapids were shut down when we got up here on Saturday. Apparently the plows were having a hard time keeping the roads clear and will try again Sunday. We will work our way over there then but it is NASTY out and it is not going to get better any time soon. The only thing we can hope for is a load heading south, once we deliver on Monday!

Welcome to my home town. Be sure to wear your long johns it's really cold over here. I've blown snow out of my driveway three times in the last 24 hours and it needs it again. There have been 50+ car accidents that closed US131 both north and south of town but last time I knew the east west roads were moving. The thermometer on the front porch says 2 degrees but the wind has dropped some. In fact, it looks like it may have dropped to nearly nothing. We like to call this weather refreshing. I live about 3 miles fron the areas' only real truck stop so I think what I'm experiencing is what you can expect. ....:)

Well, we made it to Grand Rapids today and are sitting at the truck stop at x75 off 131. The ride wasn't bad, roads were decent and all the accidents were cleared before we reached them.

I must admit, I enjoyed looking at the snow, I have always loved the way the snow makes everything look so clean and fresh. It's ashame it couldn't just snow in the fields and not on the roads.;-) ;-)

Tom, it's "refreshing" alright.:+ :+ Try and stay warm.

I just looked you up on the profiles. This type of weather shouldn't be that much worse than what you're used to at home. Maybe just a little bit more in lake effect snow but not as much as some places like Buffalo. Go 30 miles west of here and they get some snow.
