Well I think he is an egotistical jerk. And that's putting it nicely. He hates truckers and says it all the truck drivers faults for stuff coming across the borders from Mexico. He said on air that most if not 90% of truck drivers are unsafe and don't care who they hurt. He also said that we all pay off the DOT people just so we can run illegal and unsafe and tired. Needless to say after seeing that for the first time watching him I haven't watched since. Also sent CNN a nasty e-mail about him!

Thats my point, he can be an a** at times.

But as I type this, I am watching him on CNN and his reaction to Miss England's comments that are off the wall. He is really hitting the nail on the head.

I think he's like Savage, in that his goal is to be outrageous for the attention it will bring him and his career.

True, but who hasn't.

I mean listening to Randi Rhodes - she sounds the same as most.

I got something to add, if you have been wathcing his show, he seems to be somewhat devoted to the idea that we are at war with Islam facist. Normally the people who are just trying to make ratings don't stick to a subject this long. I would recommend that every just listen to what he is saying even if he is an a**.

Good point. I also believe the U.S. is in a greater conflict/war than most know or want to admit. Its kind of scary, when you really think about it...

This issue is one of the reasons the upcoming election is so important. We need to improve what we are doing and also elect/re-elect those who take the situation seriously. We need to insure we elect officials who have a plan for combating terrorism, supports the troops, and most of all believe we are right in taking military action.

Sorry I won't watch someone who admits on national TV that he is a drug addict and laughs about it. Great example for the kids. "Here kids watch the news channel". Terrible role model.

Never heard him say he was a drug addict. I have heard him on occassion say he used to be an alcoholic. Anybody that makes sense and is big enough to admit to their past failings is ok with me.

Sorry, he at lease admits he has a problem. but if you think he is a bad roll model for admitting to be a struggling alcholic and former drug user, what do you consider a good roll model in popular media today?

Snoop?

Tu Pac?

Britney?

Lindsey Lohan?

The highschool teacher that has been found passed out behind the adult theater with his pants around his ankels?

Who?

Most of these people are drug and alcohol users and they very rarely speak about it or even admit it.

I would rather see someone say "hey don't follow my example" than have people be silent about their problems and be presented to kids as someone special because they are music or movie stars.

Well the episode I saw he didn't say he was a former drug addict, he just said I am a drug addict and then laughed about it. He didn't even say it was a problem. That to me is someone who doesn't need to be doing a news program. Yes someone that can admit they have a "problem" is doing good in my book by being able to admit it. Also why would you want to watch someone who blames you for the border problems as he did on TV saying it was the truckers fault.?

I see your point, I sat there the other night and heard him say that the Path to 9/11 should only tell the truth and the scenes that are made up should be removed - I don't agree with that, it is insulting and shows that he just does not get the issues behind the program.

But see I think that you mistake him for a newsanchor or something along the lines of Couric, a wantabe reporter hack, which he is not. He is an entertainer, just like most of the other talk show hosts. I look at it this way, their job is to make us think and laugh... sometimes about what is going on. And with some of the seriousness of the news they talk about, they can put some of thier own spin on it because they don't represent a news gathering organization. I listen to a lot of different things and can't put any one person in the talk show circuit in a category of a serious news source.

Oh before I forget, I would listen to his thoughts about the Middle East. He seesm to be one of the few people on radio or television that is pointing to the problems accuratly with Iran pulling the strings. No one else seems to have taken the time to explain things simpler to their audience as he has. Still think he's an a** by the way.
