Hello all I am new here and am trying to find out some info. I am currently in the Military and am thinking about seperating the end of dec04. I have a class b cdl, have driven concrete and school buses as well as numerous military vehicles. My question is how hard is it to get into the bisness? I would like to drive for someone else first, and eventually maybe buy my own truck. I know what the trucking lifestyle is like as I grew up in a trucking family, and being in the military has gotten me used to being away from home for long periods of time. Also how hard is it to get a background clearance for canada...I have nothing real major on my record, {i have a failure to appear in court and a suspension that are about 6 or 7 years old.} I don't know if it would be a problem being as the Army had no problem picking me up...any info would be appreciated. thank you.
