If you are talking vans, that is one thing. Straight trucks, don't even consider it. I personally have never had one since expediting, but one guy in our group had a gasser and 4-5 MPG was all he ever got. And the biggest problem was he only had a 50 gallon fuel tank. So he was fueling alot. I just can not imagine trying it in a gas engined straight truck. Back when I was working at the job I retired from, we had gas burners for years. The maintenance was like 3000 miles on them. I would not like that.

Had three Chevys the first two got 16 mpg and they got over 400,000 on them and still going strong. The one I am driving now averages 18mpg. I think the GM vans are the best in every way. No stock in GM by the way. Hope this helps. Volunteer

I have a 2000 Dodge 1 ton van that gets about 16.5 mpg with the cruise set 66 to 68 mph. I nave noticed a 1/2 to 1 mpg loss when fueling at the Pilots around Louisville ky. the last couple of times I was in that area. I have no idea why.
