Gas Engine Additives

When I ran a Duramax I used Stanadyne Performance Additive. I had excellent results and GM endorses this fuel additive.

This time out I will be in 6.0L Vortex; therefore, what say the EO forum members who run gas "B" units?

Which fuel additives do you like for gassers?

I ran BG44K in my old gasser one bottle every 10k and had a BG induction service done every 50k. I like to think it was keeping the fuel and intake system clean

In my personal vehicle what i like to run is Lucas Injector cleaner. And get the bigger bottle instead of the one time use. It has been proven (not by lucas but people i know) to clean the fuel system and the injectors. Another really good product is the Chevron w/ Techron. A local mechanic swears by that stuff and even has done before and after test.

To clean the induction system i highly suggest using seafoam. I've used this on a few vehicles last week and i checked the intake before and after and it made the manifold "like new". Just be prepaired to have one hell of a smoke show out the tail pipe.

I'll continue to add that Lucas Oil Stabilizer is a good product as well, since my dakota would sit for weeks on end and hardly get started that once you did start it there would be a puff of blue smoke at first then go away. After changing to Lucas this nolonger is the case.
