I found out that a reefer trailer "which is like new clean" is NOT considered a dry food grade trailer LOL  So I ask the lady well and the load of ice cream I just hauled is ? She said a frozen food this is dry food so I said great I won't run the reefer unit to save money ! She says you have to open vents ! I said Thanks but I think it's better I pass on this load mam

So is she correct is a reefer which is clean and dry and free of elements a NON FOOD GRADE TRAILER ?

Just curious.

BTW I got the same load from a different broker at a higher rate so all is good LOL He was laughing when I asked him the food grade ? He asked is the box dry I said yes sir not a drop leaking and no humidity in box. He said ok so this other broker has no clue of reality then. LOL

Does your trailer meet the FDA requirements for hauling food?

The load is packaged boxed cookies none are loose at all so I didn't see the reason why the lady went goofy. I hauled a load of tomatoes and a inspector went in and said trailer was ok so I assume it is fine. For that produce run the trailer had to be washed out before loading.
