While not our first truck purchase with them, this was our first with Jon Mosier. Others were through Dan Schultz.
It was a quick and pleasant experience short of a title issue.
Sometimes even paying cash has a few complications.
The title was held up because Fedex failed to make a pickup at this finance company in Illinois.
Apparently Fedex apologized, but the delay set us back a day.
Jon did an excellent job of obtaining the title so we could get the IRP plate for it.
New team loves the truck and is currently on their first run after orientation.
A personal thanks from Grace and I for stepping up to the plate, before and after the sale.

For folks looking at a truck purchase, I would highly recommend Jon Mosier.

What Dave did is to work with an experienced dealer and rep. He did not attempt to "build it himself with a high level team" but found a expediter truck meeting his needs and ready to go. Knoxville F/Liner enjoys a good reputation in putting together expediter trucks and if I was in the market for a new vehicle I would certainly give them consideration.
This is where Dave's experience and business acumen in expediting came through.

Yea they was the Big Dog in selling trucks to put on with Robert's Express when I got my 1st truck in March of 1995. Dan Schutz Sold me 3 trucks during his time. There where he sold them out of Brimfield, OH still has the Freightliner sign still there. I paid $47,500.00 for my 1st truck, A brand new Fl 60 Freightliner C-unit. Boy how times have changed. Back then It was Just Robert's Express, CTX, Tri-State, Express America, and TNT. Man was times different back then. Bill Yost was the person you talked to in Safety at Robert's and Bobbi Bobitt handled all the owner's problems. My recuiter was Chuck Wiedie and was a really nice man. You had to go where planning planned you for or go home. Now you can go anywhere. Those where the days.

The truck I'm sitting in right now came from Knoxville and Jon. The phrase I like referring to him is he's "a stand up guy".

The trucks that were bought through Dan Schult were for Roberts Express. Yes those indeed were the days.
And Rich is correct. I didn't feel a need to have "high level engineers" involved in a simple truck purchase.
That path can turn ugly unless one is already knowledgeble in that process.
Better to stick to a expedite speced truck.
