The convienience of a sleeper is well worth having it. When I was driving a company T/T they had me in a day cab running over the road. This was 20 years ago and my motel budget was $30. Holiday weekends were a pain. Having to plan the trip around motels was a pain in general. We begged them to get us sleepers and when they did we never, ever, regretted it. No doubt, there are situations where the day cab thing would work out just fine. Expediting isn't one of them. Now, the disscussion about how extravegent sleepers are getting is another topic completely. If someone is spending 6 weeks in their truck, having creatures comforts is very understandable.
