We received this sad message today on the former Load One driver Larry King, unit #199.

"My name is Malcom Deaton with K & M Expediting Inc. out of Waterford, MI.

I had an employee by the name of Larry King pass away yesterday 1/18/12. Larry was picking up a load just outside of Chicago, IL. On 1/11/12 and fell down. He was taken to the local hospital and found out he broke 4 ribs and his left arm. Due to other medical issues his heart gave out yesterday and passed. Larry has no wife or kids but leaves behind a disabled mother who lived with him. The family has no life insurance policy so K & M Expediting will be picking up any and all funeral expenses for the mother. I am asking for a little help from any alliance members that would be willing to donate to help K & M Expediting pay for the funeral expenses for Larry's mother. Larry has been expediting since 2007.

Sorry for sending this out again but had a few people ask me to add this info. Please send any donations to,
K&M Expediting Inc. 7064 Desmond Rd. Waterford, MI. 48329 in memo put Larry King
Thanks to all who can donate

Any questions please call Malcom at 313-622-1393.

If we can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone (313)622-1393 or email [email protected]."

** Load One will be accepting donations to forward to K&M and we will be making a corporate donation as well. We are extremely sorry for his families sudden and unexpected loss. **

We are going to do some little fundraisers around the office and send a check at the end of next week.
