ford loads

hello! can anyone tell me why ford
loads are so cheap the oter day i pick
up a load on a d unit and it only paid
1.10 when i can go to some 15 employe
dirty little factory and pick up one
at 1.50 whats up ???

Ford is a big company with clout! They get a discounted rate because of the number of loads they have. GM, Chrysler and others do the same thing. I haul a lot of GM loads for a buck a mile. Low, yes, but they keep me moving. Of course with fuel prices what they now are, I might be better off sitting still.
