I have a 1998 fl 70 with a switch problem. when i turn the truck off it takes about 30 seconds for the engine to stop. the gauges and radio turn off as soon as the switch is turned off.this is not a constant problem it comes and goes. any help would be appreaciated.the motor is a 1326 cat. thanks:) :)

Sounds more like a sticky fuel cutoff solenoid. Have someone climb in your cab and turn the ignition switch on. The fuel cutoff should immediately actuate to its on position. Likewise when the ignition is turned off, the solenoid should actuate to the off position. I don't know if the solenoid you have is a cat part or a FL part. I had the same problem with a FL solenoid and replaced it. During this era FL had a problem with this part and the new one is beefed up and a better design.

I believe with the electronic fuel system on the 3126, the fuel system power is controlled through a small relay. The relay's contacts are probably sticking together intermittently, keeping power to the fuel system. I think (I don't have a schematic for FL's with 3126) it is one of the low current relays on the in-cab fuse panel.
