I am soon to be a first time expeditor.. any advice on which company would best suite me? I live in Florida, have a family, and am not pressed to make a ton of money right away, flexability of loads and home time are just as important. Fewer long trips sound good to me.
thanks for any input.....

To expedite out of Florida you'll learn the road to Atlanta really well. Florida is basically all inbound and no outbound. The good news is you'll have less competition for jobs taking you home because nobody wants to go to Florida since there are no jobs to get you out. Good luck to you.

I suggest you contact the compnaies advertising on here. No one can tell you what compnay is best for you. Being in Florida is going to make it tough no matter who you go with.

As for home time. Let me give you some advice. If you wish to make it in this business don't go into this business with that as one of your big questions.

Talk to a number of the companies and be sure you get your questions answered. Do not fall for the Big Talk you will get from the company reps. They all tell a very good story. You listen and then you choose.

I will give you a suggestion. Call Scott Hancock at Express1. He just got married and is most likely still in a Love Fog and you may be able to trick him into giving you the Real Straight story. Kidding but do call Scott. Very good guy and he will be helpful no matter what you do.

Hi well if i was you i'd look in the drivers wanted here on EO ads and try to find a O/O from Fla looking to fill a truck with a driver or co-driver.I live in Jax,Fl and have always been able to get home but you will need to possibly dh a few hundred miles. We ran for Fedex with a O/O who i stayed with for almost 10 yrs.
